Mets lose...

             (My thoughts as well)

Well the mets lost tonight and it was a ugly loss. Theyre was some positives though that we can take in light of the game, David extended his career best hitting streak to twenty games, Which hopefully he can not swing for the fences and start hitting like he did before i started all of the tv commercials, magazines and talk shows and just plain old hit the ball to all fields. Granted he is young and will continue to improve, He will take it day by day and he will get better, Much better and anyone who constantly reads this web site knows that he is amazing on and off the field in what he does for communitys across the Ny-Metro area. Now my second point of the day which is a positive, Jose Reyes. If David ever gets hurt and is out for a prolonged period of time, I will change the name to Reyesoholics since he is just becoming more and more amazing on the field and just take the first inning. He singles, steals 2ncd and then takes third. The mets offense was stuck in reverse today and it didnt help much that the umpires gave the mets the wrong end of the stick tonight numerous times.

I am off to Baltimore tomorrow to watch the Orioles face the Royals! WOW, What a matchup. Even though my uncle is the batting coach for the orioles ( Terry Crowley), I still could care less for their team as they stink and the only guys i root for are Melvin Mora and Tejada and the new kid Markakis who i like. Camden Yards is the most beautiful stadium that i have ever been to and if anyone would like to take a visit to a stadium, go to Camden Yards as it is totally beautiful in every way and even though the fans are not knowledgeable in most aspects of the game, they do provide me with some good chuckles and i hope i can start the Yankees **** chants all night long. Maybe i can ask some people there to reminiscene about the 1969 world series when the mets bashed their heads in although being tremendous underdogs. See, the thing with me is that i dont mind going to other stadiums and seeing bad teams play but when you see a matchup between the Royals and O;s, it doesnt provide me with much drama so please pray for a good game for me tomorrow. I will provide my in depth description of the game and my stay at Baltimore for the next two nights, I might also blog about the mets as well as i know everyone needs to hear my thoughtful insight or lack thereof about the mets and most importantly David Wright.

So as for tonight';s game, The mets i thought were going to slap around Adam Eaton and move on to being 6-2 instead of their now 5-3 record. They started off good again with Reyes but the energy other than him was not there tonight. I didnt even say one word about Oliver Perez as he pitched a miserable game tonight and shades of last May in Pittsburgh was arising in my mind and i hope he can give the mets a good outing his next time out. Thank god on Friday that the worst team in baseball faces the mets in a 3 game series at Shea and yes i am talking about the Nationals. The mets will win 2 of 3 guareenteed and if they dont, I will drive my car off the Verrazano Bridge and cry all the way down. The mets need that series after not being so sharp the previous 3 of 4 games. So tomorrow is the rubber game of the Mets-Phils series as the mets will look to win the series and keep the phils at a bad record now.

Here are the Wrightoholics negatives in losing tonight.

1- Perez, Straight out terrible performance.

2- Mets hitting stuck in neutral

               Wrightoholics positive notes.

1- Jose Reyes, He is the best player in the NL in my mind. His energy is the jumpstart to the mets offense on most nights, Just not tonight.

2- David Wright pushing his career high hitting streak to 20 games.

Now onto the David Watch, Sponsered by Just For Men, Used by Keith Hernandez and Walt Fraizer.

Perez's seven walks won't win ball games. It's still early and he did have a good outing against us (the Braves). He's also still young and has time to work through control issues. I agree with you about Jose Reyes (I don't know about BEST in the NL) but I love his play. He's a lot of what I miss about Furcal in our lineup. He definitely brings a lot of energy to the game. He had some big hits against us at the game I was at last Friday. Well I think we've pummeled the Nationals up pretty good for you in the first two. I'm hoping for a sweep tomorrow. They'll be nice and banged up for your go 'round. Have fun at Camden. I'd love to go there myself. I'm hoping for a stop at Shea sometime real soon to root for my Braves. I've made trips to Philly and Boston to see them play and NY is next on my list. I don't expect a warm welcome but I'm a respectful visiting fan. Have a good trip. Here's hoping for a good O's and Royal's game!
