David 1, Dodgers 0.
(Yes David, You laugh at how bad Delgado has been)
My blog entry since the David needs a fire extuinsher since hes on fire lately has been updated to call the fire truck, We need the fire hose to cool him off. Im also talking about his defense in yesterdays 5-2 victory over the LA Dodgers, in which his defense almost outmeasured his rocket shot to RF. He made 2 outstanding plays in between another out in the same inning! You know whats funny, He actually had a vitamin water in his pocket while the other out was made and refueled like in that commericial where vitamin water makes you do outlandish things. So i guess thats what made him make those 2 remarkable plays in the field. But not to stand alone with his defense, He brought along his bat to the show too! He smacked a line drive to right field which went out for his 23rd home run. Davids offense reminds me of something, The 2006 David Wright. Remember him? You know the guy who only hit 26 homers and drove in 116 rbi's? Oh yeah, I know him and hes back and better than ever. Except i predict this season he will propel the mets further in the playoffs and not disappear like he did last season in the biggest stage in sports. He is back and his 314 average shows that. Remember at the all star break he was hitting around 300? Well not he is above and will get to eclipse his 316 average last season and in my prediction will win the batting title. Just you wait and see. Mark my words, Theyre always Wright.
Mets beat the dodgers behind the arm of Oliver Perez yesterday and Wagner almost blew another one by allowing the bases to be loaded only to work out of it. The Mets need to win today against 97 year old Eric Stults. The Mets bats need to keep on hitting because they are still in first and cannot afford to relax and lose a few games in a row. I am more afraid of the Phils than the Bravos because of the way the Phils can have the SP along with the hitting. But as we move towards September, The Mets have the lead like they have almost all season long and will have another board hanging in right field along with last years nl east title.
Now even though the Mets lost the series against the Padres, a very disappointing one, They will look to win the series tonight with 1 game left to spare. I wont get into the Padres series as it will just provide more tears for me. So lets talk about todays game. Mets will win 97-0 behind David's 18 home runs.
