What is going on? Why is this dream never ending?
Ah, the sweet recolection of my thoughts from a few months back. Does anyone remember the post when i said, " Wow, Is this what it is like to be a Nationals fan?". Well now that i am thinking back to the past, I am in a sorrow to eat my words. Maybe it is like, "Is this whats its like to have a miserable bullpen and shotty defense at best?. I hope that this rollercoaster into **** ends soon because my blood pressure and Brain cant take it. I feel like someone is drilling a screwdriver into my eyes while watching these debacles on a daily basis. This has gone from, WOW MY TEAM IS THE BEST IN THE NL, TO...Wow this bullpen really does work magic. I remember when i made fun of Joba Chamberlain but as of right now, I would take any yankee over any met in the bullpen minus Kyle Farnsworth. **** the way the Mets bullpen is pitching (Albeit overworked due to the lack of pitching into the late innings of the game)i would even take him. If we can think about the lead disappearing before my eyes and getting almost swept at home against the Nats. Yes i said it, The Nationals. This team always makes my heart work extra, Every year for the past 15 years of my life. Since i was 3 years old, I went to Shea with my family and even more now as im older, And this year was worse than other years in my mind even though the Mets will still most likely make the playoffs. See, in the dark ages 1991-1998, The Mets were almost the laughing stock of the league. Anthony Young, Dave Mlicki, Paul Byrd, Pete Harnisch,Rico Brogna, Bobby Bonilla, Butch Huskey, Vince COLEMAN. The list can go on and on about the mishaps of the mets teams of the 90's. But this is a different year and timeframe. We are the city who has the money and even if it costs alot Omar, You could have gotten a reliever or Maybe directed Willie not to trade Brian Bannister away ( Even with the abundance of pitching as we have said in the middle of the year). See with this team, the Mets staff has never been used like this before ( Maine never pitched a full season, Ollie has but not on a consistent basis, Rookies getting called up and pitching decent. I mean its just a sad time to be a mets fan and even as the hated Cardinals come rolling into town tomorrow, I still think of what was last year and being in my seat at Shea during game 7 and crying and remember telling some child next to me after he was crying and asked his dad, Dad, When are we going to win next?> DAD REPLIES, NEXT YEAR SON, NEXT YEAR. I then chimed in and said, " Dont worry kid, Ive been saying that since i was 5 and it isnt happening. Thats the kind of stuff im talking about with us Mets fans. We are long suffering and need to start making some noise. The names on paper look tantalizing but it just isnt transfered to the field the past month. The Mets need to win soon or else i will have a heartattack, So please people keep the faith as i have even though my hair is slowly falling out of my head.
Now the picture that will emphasize David using my thoughts exactly.
