Mets Crush Reds and Some Other Cool Info…
Ah last night at the mets game. What a game. The mets started out very nicely with Lastings Milledge gunning out Ryan Freel trying to take second base, Freel thought he can make it but Lastings pulled out Le Canon and had him out by about 5 feet. Then the mets came up in the bottom of the inning. Jose Reyes continued his torrid play at the plate by getting on and then scoring via Paully Loduca’s Rbi Double off the base of the wall. NEXT UP- Delgado who lately has not been making me happy but hey, everyone goes through tough times at the plate and he’s no exception, Delgado along with Nady are very streaky andwhen they are both hot you can basiaclly accept a game like they had yesterday day in and out. Delgado drove the pitch over the RF fence which then made the score 3-0 mets. The mets when scoring in the first inning are a remarkable 14-0.
After the first inning, the Reds tryed to mount a comeback. First, let me tell you that t heyre was about 30 Reds fans behind me at the game last night. They kept chanting Griffey,Griffey and then i countered with 260 with his Batting average and then the usual you guys *** chants. Good times at Shea stadium yesterday. The mets were up 3-1 when Steve"LONGBALL"Trachsel came to the box and slammed a 600 foot home run down the left field line.(Okay, maybe it was 334 feet but for him in tomorrow’s paper, its a blast). The mets were up 4-1 when the reds countered and looked like they were going to score another 2-3 runs in the top of the 7th inning. Then The mets brought it Duaner Sanchez with the bags full and after one run scored,he got Rich Aurilia to ground into a inning ending 5-4-3 double play. That left the score at 4-2 mets as they went to the bottom of the inning in which the Mets erupted off of former met David Weathers. I think i was the only one in the section who remembered David Weathers being on the mets and actually gave him a descent hand when he came out of the pen. Weathers came in and immedialy gave up a walk to jose Valentin and then a 2 run shot to Xavier Nady. Then stepped in Milledge who singled and then Sanzhez to bat for himself and he got hit right in the helmet. I then did not obviously cheer for Weathers anymore and i wanted some retaliation in which maybe the mets will give them back tonight or tomorrow. Then Loduca came in a rocketed a double down the left field line and scored another 2 and made it 8-2. In the bottom of the 8th, Jose Valentin almost had in inside the park homerun, He was chugging around the bases and almost made it home but Griffey made a remarkable lucky throw to home plate from the outfield wall, I swear it bounced twice right to the plate and Javier (Jose’s Brother) laid the tag on Jose, The whole crowd was cheering him on and we all would have erupted if he made it. NOTE-If that was Jose Reyes, he would have ran around the bases twice. As all of us were still cheering, Xavier Nady hit another home run and kept the crowd standing for the remainder of the inning. The mets closed out the 9th with Oliver on the hill and closed out the reds 9-2. Their were some scattered fights in the crowd with Reds fans. I noticed one fight where the Reds fan was throwing soda on the mets fans from the loge level and then a fan tossed a soda right back up in his direction, Then the security guard from my section ran all the way around to the other side with every other security guard and then they had to run all the way back due to another fight lol, Good stuff. Also another note about yesterdays game other than it took me 4 hours total to drive to and back from Shea, Was that it was only the second time the loge section has completed the wave, It was a huge cheer from the whole section and as the wave was going around, We sort of cheated a bit because Nady hit his first home run and then that kind of finished the wave lol. Also i spent about 100 dollars on food and various stuff.
The mets are exciting now a days and to get any of their game used memorabillia, Give Bob a call at Steiner Sports at 1888-769-mets. Bob is very knowledgeable about the game and will give you insight about the items and stuff in which they collect. A cool piece of Memorabilia for all you Wrightoholics fans out there is to get on the field during Batting Practice. Though steiner sports, you can endure that same feeling in which David Wright does going out and watching all of your heroes slam the ball around the stadium during bp. Bob was kind enough to show me around steiner sports with the help of his co-worker Lisa who in which loves game used items as well and let me actually see all of the stuff in which they have collected. They have some really nice stuff, Game used helmets even the 2 tone air flow one’s in which they use this season. They also have used lineup cards (For your special day or favirote players special day) and game used bases too! The bases are actually very cool too, they have gem’s on them and great game use. Another cool item in which to have is a game used jersey, The jerseys are very cool and can keep you satisfied throughout your life. Also you can read Bob;s game used blog at http://www.steinersports.com/ssm/control/blog-gameused;jsessionid=F1FE3DA0AB5A72A1FD2C2D72B03B3E93.ssm3 , He will try and help you find that special item.
Onto Tonight;s game, The mets battle the Reds in game 3 of the 4 game set and i have tickets to see the SI yankees battle the Cyclones in Staten Island. I will go see the mets instead due to the SI Yankees hammmmmmmering the Cyclones by a score of 18-0 last night lol. Now if any of you don’t know what im talking about with these teams, They are single a rookie Ny Penn League teams who battle off each summer 14 times. The cyclones are the mets Single a team, They have 1 championship in 2001. The Yankees won a few championships. But i will not go to a Cyclone game this year as they look like they have a terrible team.
The Major League Mets tonight will send Alay Alay Alay Alay Soler Soler to the hill tonight hoping to win a second consecutive game and try and gain more ground in the Nl East standings. The Phils lost last night much to my disgrin, I really would rather see the Phils beat the Yankees because in NY, Us fans hate the yankees and as i was driving home from the game yesterday, John Sterling used his phrase in which someone should stick a banana down his throat when hes doing it, Theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee Yannnnnnkeeeeeeees Winnnn, TTTTTTThhhheee yannnnnnkeeeeees winnnn. Man do i hate that phrase. I would like to see this next Friday, TTTTTTHHHHE MEETTTS WINNN, TTTTTTTHHHHHE MEEEEETTTS WINNN. That would make my weekeend next week at ******* stadium. Also tonight David goes for a hit in a game as last night he went 0-4 with 3 rocket line drive outs. I promise all of the Wrightoholics that David will mash the ball tonight and not go hitless for the second straight night.
David is up by almost 2 hundred thousand votes over Scott Rolen and to all of the Wrightoholics, Please keep voting. We need to send the best third basemen to the all star game and along with a few other mets, Vote Reyes,Loduca,Delgado(who has no shot down by 2 million voteS) and Beltran. Also the mets should keep the scoreboard pictures up of the new ones which have all star backrounds and vote for (put name here). I would love to see the mets garner some more all stars than the Yankees. But kidding aside, I dont want all stars, I want a world series win. Im tired of seeing the Yankee fans at Shea. Please go home Yankee fans, im tired of you all sitting in our stadium watching the best team in Ny, Ya know what? You guys can stay because i know this is what you would love your team to look like this year so sit back and enjoy.

Wright Homer # 12 and 53rd of Career!
I was watching tonight’s game very closely and am still watching the game as we speak. The Mets just brought in Billy the kid out of the bullpen after things got a bit shaky as Aaron Heilman gave up a 3 run homer to David Delucci. Billy just reached 100 mph on the radar gun, wow, ya know i once threw a 82 mph fastball at mets fanfest and i threw my shoulder out, good times. Oh and as im typing that, Wagner just struck out Utley on 3 fastballs and then Loduca threw out rollins trying to steal second. See last year’s version of the mets would have struck someone out and then Piazza would have thrown the ball to the left field bleachers, But these are the new mets,Wait that was last years slogan, This year’s is the Team, The Time, THE METS! Slogan changes every year but i am starting to beleve this one. As for the game, David Slapped his career 53rd homer and Beltran added with his 18th homer and Delgado also added in his 19th home run. The mets are driving the ball well in this bandbox out in Phili.
The phils were mashing around Tommy Glavine early and Glavine came out after only 4 and a third innings. Its ok though, its a terrible park to pitch in and i understand that so im not worried that Glavine is returning to his old form as many yankee fans email’s suggest. Hey everyone, THE YANKEES WON A GAME! Congrats as they did need it, Im tired of reading the back pages with everyone claiming the mets as Kings of New York, Its okay Yankee fans, if you want to call up Yankee rehab, give it a shot but we will not accept you into the Wrightoholics fan club, the fan club for the best 3rd basemen in NY and also the most clutch, Sorry AROD.
The mets have been mashing the ball the past 6 games and hopefully that can continue tomorrow night against Brett Myers who is Phili’s ace. He is a very tough pitcher and relentless against the opposition and he picked up a victory against the mets in his last start vs them. The mets must score in the first like they have in the past bunch of games.I Predict David Wright will get his normal hit and maybe 2 against a tough pitcher. I really should have went to the game tonight as i had some obligations here at home. As David slapped his 53rd career home run, tying him for 19002323323 in baseball history, he is only 702 away from tying hammering hank.LOL, Ya gotta believe everyone .
For voting wise on the all star game, we all need to keep voting for David as they said on the telecast tonight on SNY, That down in St Louis they will not give up without a fight and neither will Rolen who went 4 for 4 tonight. But its okay, i think baseball is starting to realize how passionate all of us mets fans have became this season and we will vote David and also try to vote all of the other mets as with this record and this lead, At least 4 of them will be starting or at least be representing the mets at the all star game. I believe Wright will be there along with Beltran,Loduca, Reyes, Pedro,Glavine,Wagner. I wish for Delgado but his Avg is not up to par with the rest of the first basemen available with Pujols injured, See Ryan Howard or Nomar Garciaparra.
The mets are currently leading 9-7 in the ninth with 1st and 3rd occupied. The mets should close this one out as i belive wagner has come back to his form of star closer. Im worried about Heilman but every pitcher will not be perfect, see Wagner vs Yankees May 20th. As for the game tomorrow, i wish the mets would win tomorrow and open up almost a double digit lead. That would make me a happy man.
If anyone is around the Metro area of NY, Please email me at perrotta553@aol.com as i am donating 3 Brooklyn cyclones field box seats(Retail Value at 49 dollars) to the person who donates money to David’s foundation. So if anyone would like to donate along with me who will match any amount someone puts out,Please email me or Desiree at thewrightfans@yahoo.com and we will make the check payable to the David Wright Foundation and i will mail out the tickets ASAP. The game is June 20,2006 and i think tickets are sold out for opening night. David donates his time and money to helping others and so do i. I believe everyone should try and help out just a little bit to help someone else in need because maybe one day, we might all be wishing people can help us. So people, have good hearts and try and donate.
Also now i am donating a pair of Field Box seats for the Mets Vs Padres in Mike Piazza’s Return to Shea in the beginning of August (8th). I will add a pic here and if anyone donates, i will give them to you. Just make the check payable to the David Wright foundation and under the info section, put Wrightoholics club. I will once again Match any amount in which people donate. PEOPLE- I am not doing this for my health, im doing it for others, Be Kind and help out.

Tonight- 1 for 4 with his 53rd career Home run.
Tomorrow-2/5 hopefully vs Brett Myers.
Buy One Carlos…Get One Free!!
Yeah Read the title and think to yourself, what does that mean? Well, it means We bought a few home run balls tonight. Down in AZ, Where the only thing going down there is home run after home run by the best team in the NL. The mets came out swining again as i predicted two posts down. The mets showed their power tonight as You guessed it Carlos # 1 smacked 2 homers and the free Carlos (Delgado) Hit 2 as well along the way with a little David Wright sprinkled in between. First off, let me say David’s Shot must have hit Shea. It traveled so far and Bryrnes just ran back and thought he had a shot and David just admired his mammoth shot and took a nice walk in the park around the bases. The mets layed it on the Dbacks early and often which were my keys to the game last night. Trachsel pitched so so and got the mets through 5 and a 3rd. The bullpen was bit shaky tonight but settled down and allowed none from innings 8 through 9 .Sanchez was shaky for the umpeenth time in the past month and Heilman gave up a run. Billy the kid came in and shut the door shut with some nails in it. The mets preserved a 10-6 victory behind the long balls of Carlos X 2 , David Wright.
The Mets look to win their 4th in a row tomorrow and open that lead just a bit wider as last night, The Phils, Bravos, i dont even know why im saying it but the Marlins also lost. The nationals continue their strong play over the past month and have moved into 3rd place setting their sights on Philadelphia. I personally, like i said a while back believe that the mets will have a double digit lead by the end of July. As i have been recovering lately with some sleep i lost by being at Mets g ame after Mets game, i have been catching up on some reading about more of the mets off field and i will also note that Carlos Delgado and Carlos Beltran Donate a ton of money to Charity so i would just like to give them a shout out off the field too.
I know i used to rank on Beltran about how he is making 17 million a year and not earning it, But he has been playing very well and my fantasy money league team loves it as well. If Carlos X 2 Ever reads my post, i apologize for making fun of you, just please keep it up as i need another win this week lol. But on a serious note, He plays excellent defense and is going to be the best CF in baseball this season. It was funny Tonight after Delgado hit the 2ncd home run, he ran back in and all the mets were having a blast. AH shades of 1986 without the cocaine and ripping up hotel rooms and all of that good stuff. They just seem to have a great time and i said to myself, i love this team. This team would be my dream team to play on alongside all of the dance moves and the spanish speaking players, i would fit right in, i did take 9th grade Spanish in high school, But at shea Professor Reyes teaches me a thing or two in the top of the 3rd inning on Diamondvision.
Last night David slammed his home run # 52 of his career and also collected his career number 183rd Rbi of his short career which in 2 months will make him a respectible Veteran in MLB. I already believe he is respected world wide by his strong work ethic and all of that stuff which accomapnys himself as one of the top players in baseball at such a young age of 23. David will continue to slap the ball along with the help of Carlos X 2. I Am still very shocked to see David getting pitches to hit with Valentin hitting behind him. Now i know Valentin has been playing well of late, He is still not close to David’s power and average and i do not know why they continue to pitch to a player who is in such a groove at the plate day in and day out.
The Wrightoholics newsletter is set to go and for more info on how to be on the mailing list, email me at perrotta553@aol.com or email Desiree my lead writer for the newsletter at thewrightfans@Yahoo.com. She will add you or i will add you to the most exciting and growing fan club at shea or on the internet. We currently have 77 members and am looking for only about 223 more and then i will close the mailing list and have a waiting list. As we belive in the Wrightoholics club, David’s immense popularity will continue on for the rest of his career as a NY Met and throughout all of the stuff we have planned for the group, its just going to be an exciting time to be a wrightoholic as the mets plan their trip to hopefully a world series on the bats of Carlos X 2 And David the magician Wright.
Now onto the David Watch.

METS WIN AND WITHOUT EXTRA’S!!
The Mets won last night as they finally put alot of runs on the board. Although i would have liked the Mets to score 10, im just as happy with 9. The game was close throughout and it offered a bit of everything, Lastings Milledge picked up his second career home run and didn’t even slap the hands of the LA Faithful (why not Lastings) and David Wright continued his all out assault on the voting booth for the NL All star game while he picked up 3 hits with a walk and a stolen base, His average now is up to 335. Why cant this kid get some more votes im tired of all these fans on the Mets message boards saying they all voted at least 25 times, How bout me using a alias by the name of Michael Piazza and voting 25 more times? I will keep voting just to try and get the real NL’S best third basemen as we can all see what is happening with the Cardinals without Albert Pujols in the lineup. David Wright did not have that same problem with the rest of the lineup either being out or not hitting, he has come up clutch each day and even on 0-2 counts, he continues to bat over 300 (313). David has only been in the league for only 2 years, remember that, His two year anniversary will be a huge bash on this Blog on July 21st,2006 marking the two year anniversary of David’s entrance into the MLB.
As for the Mets tonight, they send Orlando Hernandez into the starting spot vs the Diamond backs. The D-Backs are coming off of a 3 game sweep at the hands of the Phils. The Phils are playing better of late and are trying to again challenge the mets for the first spot. As i went through local media channels here in NY, All i see is the standings flashed up and the Phils only 3 and half out of first place. In my mind, the phils will fight the mets towards the end but flutter like they did last year at the end of the season. The mets need a strong effort from El Duque tonight as he really has not gave them a good effort since the trade from the Dbacks. I personally did not like the trade as i never want former yankees on my team. If he falters tonight, it seems evident that Darren Oliver will head out of the Bullpen to take over in the 4th or early innings. The Diamond backs have lost their last 3 games after sweeping the Atlanta Braves. I figured it was only a matter of time before they faltered and maybe it just was Jason Grimsley’s rampant steroid use wearing off on them, HA Another former Yankee to go down to steroids. I just find it funny how they tried to pressure him into wearing a wire to get Barry Roids, good stuff FEDS. But the Dbacks need a win and hopefully they will get swept in this ever important 4 game series vs the mets. The mets are pitching worse of late but thats only because of the lack of rest for Glavine, It looks like Wagner’s back on track as he succesful took down the Dodgers 1-2-3 last night.
When the mets invade colorado in August, i just wanted to let everyone know i am taking a nice and well needed trip, but i thought to myself, it wont be needed if the Mets lose, which will in turn cause my heart level to dip down. I always wanted to see a new stadium in which i have never seen in person before. I have knocked down 14 stadiums and want to visit the rest in my lifetime. I made it a guareentee this year to myself that i would watch every game this year and know everything about the best team in NY because in my mind as this being my last year before i enter my clinical stage in a hospital setting, i wanted to see the mets win and win in style night after night. I have been watching every game for the past 5 years, even through my faviortote centerfielder Tusyoshi Shinjo’s days here. LOL Shinjo was great, i loved his style out there. I would still rather have Shinjo than Matsui infact someone call up Minaya and see if he can pull off that trade.
As for the David Watch for tonight, I beleive he will go 2-5 as the mets bat’s will again slap around Vargas like they did in his previous start vs the mets. David has been on fire lately and is closing in on the 340 mark and hopefulyl tonight he can grab it. I really would like to see career home run # 52 tonight.
Yesterday 3-4 with 1 SB.
Tonight 2-5 with hopefully career home # 52( only 754 to go before AARON!! LOL , YA GOTTA BELIEVE)

VOTE WRIGHT FOR THE NL ALL STAR TEAM AND WRIGHT FOR PRESIDENT!!!
David’s 50th and 51st Home Runs..But Loss to Giants..
Yesterday afternoons finale of the Mets-Giants series was one of alot of things. But the first thing it was was ugly. The mets had a golden chance to get out of the 8th inning with less damage than expected and ended up with Jose reyes booting a sure double play ball and costing the mets 3 runs in the inning. If anyone on the Mets could get on base yesterday other than David Wright and the Emergence of Lastings Milledge, we wouldnt be having this conversation about the way the Mets blew a golden chance to widen their lead in the NL east standings. Those giants are a pesky bunch, They took 4 of 6 from the Mets overall and made me almost have a heartattack twice this week. Along with Milledge sliding home safely on the second game of the twinbill on Saturday which i was in Shea stadium for all 102 innings of those games, which cost me as follows…2 hot dogs, 3 sausages sandwiches, and 6 soda’s all tottalling somewhere in the range of 150 dolalrs somehow along with sovernirs for my cousin. As for the game, David Wright slammed his 50th and 51st career home runs. The first shot was a bomb to left and the second shot reminded me of Mike Piazza’s shots in shea to opposite field. Everything seemed good going into the 8th with Sanchez at the helm. We had a decent sized lead, and had Wagner ready in the 9th to preserve the win, But the mets although exicting lost the game to the giants.
To be honest with you, i really had no problem with Milledge shaking hands with the fans down in Right Field, hes a new guy in town and was just excited about the Home run he hit drawing electrictity from the fans. Now the unsung hero in all of this is Jose Valentin, I was ripping on Jose for a while now but ever since he came in the lineup at second base, i wish they would leave him there and give him a shot to see what he can do. He has been producing lately and even threw me a ball at shea last week. But with Matsui on the bench, i wish he stays there as i cannot stand when he comes in the game, actually i can stand it. Its my bathroom break time as we all know what happens when he comes in the game, he either strikes out or grounds out weakly to second. Man to make 7 million a year, i would bat 190 and hit 1 opening day home run a year guareenteed.
These extra inning games cannot go on any longer. It starts to get to a point where its exciting but you just want a blowout one of these days. Im tired of sitting there anxious with my heart pumping fast on every pitch not knowing if were gonna lose with 1 pitch, it hurts and i really would rather the mets just finish a team out early instead of worrying about them late. The Yankee fans are still harrasing me about all of their players being injured and still lingering around first place. I feel for them honestly, most of their players are on the shelf or bench injured and its a bad feeling but its baseball and play must go on and i will actually say theyre doing the best the can with the little they have. I think Boston will go on a run with all of the Yankees injured and pull a decent sized lead between them and the Yanks. The ideal thing for happening is the way the Mets have their lead spaced (Biggest in baseball might i add) and my dream would be for the Yankees to place in third at the end of the year and the mets to win the World Series, Man that would make steinbrenner cry and call the yankees suicide hotline, might i add a hotline which Most yankee fans are already on dreading their future in baseball this season without most of their stars in the lineup.
As David Crushed both of his shots last afternoon. I was saying to myself, why is he still lingering behind Scott Rolen in the Nl all star voting. The numbers are self explanotory, Wright has better numbers in two senses. ONE – PURE GAME WINNING HITS, AND TWO David keeps his team above water more than Rolen does. I would like to see how Rolen does without Pujols and his team hitting. David has more and more pressure put on his shoulders every time Delgado strikes out or every time Beltran goes 1 for 5 every game. The mets need to get their hitting in a groove like it was for the first two weeks of the season and then they will put together a bigger lead in the NL EAST.
David Wright has been hitting his strides of late and will be a force in the lineup for the rest of the year. David’s at bats at the plate wheater it’s one and two or three and one, he still manages to get hit after hit and lately he’s been on fire. David should be voted to the NL All star team as im trying to get tickets to the game and hopefully he’ll be there along with a few other mets. David’s approach at the plate hasnt changed, he just reads the pitches from pitchers well. He locates the ball before it comes to the plate and drives the pitch to either field. I was looking at one of his key stats yesterday. He drives the ball to all fields equally and does it in style. You see the crowd after the second home run yesterday, I think 60 percent of them either had Wright t shirts or Jersey’s on. Hes a marketing machine and will be a marketing machine until the day he enters the Hall of Fame when he retires. David’s strong work ethic off the field helps him out on the field as well. He donates alot of time to charities and helps those in need greatly. Thats one of the reason why i started the Wrightoholics fan club. Because if i was a plyer in the Major leagues, i would like to be like David Wright because of him helping out charities and not letting all of the fame and fortunes get to his head. He stays real and never forgets where he came from. The wrightoholics fan club will go to possibly 5 games this summer in the 3rd base loge box first row and have a huge banner in which i made and hopefully get a n ice appalause for David and maybe even a few Autographs as well. Also the reason of the Wrightoholics is also to make us all more aware of becoming better people just as David is. I would encourage everyone to donate to the foundation and leave the heading Under what the check is for. Put Wrightoholics fan club because we have already donated over 1200 dollars and am looking to donate more. Our goal is 25,000 this summer donated directly to charity from the Wrightoholics group. It will give us national reconition and give David’s charity more reasons to find a cure for MS. Also to join the Wrightoholics, please email me perrotta553@aol.com or email desiree my editor for the weekly newsletter at thewrightfans@yahoo.com. She is in charge of most of the happenings in the newsletter and is a monster David Wright fan as well. She also has pictures of David fielding the infield in Dolphin stadium down in Florida.
I planned and booked my Trip to Coors Field when the Mets visit the rockies for the end of August just before my clinical work for my last semester at college starts. I figured i have never been to Colorado and would love to visit and see my Mets i n action down there. It was on my list of stadiums to visit and i am also making the Trip to Pittsburgh when the Mets play the Buccos down in Pittsburgh. I love taking road trips escpiecally now before i get my lifetime job and am obligated to working and only having vacation days. Remember you live life once and must enjoy it to the fullest and i believe thats what i plan on doing and i know thats what David is doing as well along with his numerous donations and all of that. So People VOTE DAVID TO THE NL ALL STAR TEAM AND VOTE WRIGHT VOTE NOW AT METS.COM AND VOTE ALL METS TO THE NL ALL STAR TEAM EXCEPT FOR MATSUI!
Now onto the David Watch for today as ill get some much needed rest recovering from 40 hours of Mets baseball the last 2 days. But ill be up late tonight watching the Mets and Dodgers with Brett Tomko toting the hill for the Dodgers and Alay Soler for the Mets. I heard numerous reports around baseball sources that This can be Soler’s last start judging on if he struglles mightly or not. The Mets were planning on brining up John Maine soon and wanted to possibly demote Soler.

Yesterday 2-5 with 2 homers (50th and 51st of career)
Tonight(2-4 with 1 double and an rbi)
All star game- 5 for 5 with 5 home runs if elected to start guareenteed. (Hey Ya gotta believe! lol)
God I hate Rainouts…But I love Doubleheaders!!
Hello again everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that the game was rained out tonight , Although im possibly a little late with the news, but i was sitting in my car half way to Shea stadium and then a down pour came and kind of pointed me back to my home. The mets will play two tomorrow afternoon and i will be attending both. You know what the coo l thing is, i get to get my money back for my tickets yesterday and see another game for free!Lol, ah so your thirteen 9 dollar sausages are going to be paid off by a free ticket tommrow night’s game (30 minutes after the first is over). I only kid around with the prices at shea stadium, but it does get out of hand to take a girlfriend, friend or anything even a dog as we saw the other day at shea. Read my previous blog 4 spots down with the dog day to read about that. I hope the mets dont sign anyone else next year or else with ticket prices going up due to the signees, ill have to auction off my car to afford season tickets. Ah with the price of inflation.
On to thoughts of tomorrow’s doubleheader. In the first game, we have El Duque pitching for the mets and i really hope he pitches well. His last game against the fish he won, but didnt pitch to well, and although the marlins have the same lineup minus Barry Bonds as the Giants, it seems he needs to pitch a good game as with most of the regulars possibly sitting out the day or night portion of the game and they need to jump on the Giants early. I am going to throuroughly enjoy Cursing at Barry Bonds in left field for being Sham and fraud to the national pastime.
On a side note, i think Glavine will pitch a good game tomorrow in game 2 as i need it for my health and so does my Money league fantasy team. Glavine i predict will pitch 7 innings against a Barry Bonds-less game two lineup of The giants. As i sit here and watch a replay of the game on April 26th in which Barry Bonds hit a meatball off Billy the kid, i sit here wondering why didnt they put him on or give him a slider. The guy can straight out mash fastballs to the opposite field and as i have said before, Barry can still hit the ball if the ball is in the zone, Especially a 100 mph fastball. Barry has amazing eye/hand coordiantion and steroids dont help with that but they do help with how the far the ball will travel and in the end we will all see what truly happened with Barry and all of the steroid allegations.
I am predicting now, that David Wright will go 4/10 in the doubleheader with im praying 1 home run. I really need to be there in person when he hits his 50th career homer and then his 756th career home run. Im just kidding about 756 home runs by David but im not kidding about this. He will Break the third basemen’s home run record before he retires barring any injuries. He has that swagger and so do the mets that will enable them to win the NL east championship this year and beyond. The mets have a 5 game lead right now and hopefully will extend that to 6 by Monday morning possibly More. The mets then head to La (i expect a nice ovation for Lo Duca), And then down to AZ( Where i hope to do a live blog with Kellia from her Byrnes blog site. The mets will hopefully win 5 of 6 on that trip. I know its tough to ask but we need to win alot of games this year and secure home field throughout the playoffs. St louis finally is starting to play their standard of baseball and so wil lthe mets hopefully.
On a side note, i really wish the mets keep glavine next year and allow him to win his 300th with the Mets. To win 300 games and to be there to possibly witness it would be awesome. I never have seen a met win his 300th (See Tom Seaver who left the mets to win his 300th), and i think it would be a awesome expierience to see it in person. As well, i proabably will still have this blog up and running and will comment and try to possbily do a live blog about it from Shea if i can get a press pass for a game like that lol. That would be an awesome experience. Glavine has been pitching lights out lately and will try to continue that tomorrow to try and become the Nl’s first 9 game winner. I really hope he does start the all star game, that will be a awesome feeling for us mets fans and will stick it in the face of those mets fans who were ripping on Tom Glavine when he used to get shelled after shelled in previous starts.
On to the David Watch, Tomorrow david will possibly go 4-10 in both games( if he plays, which hes young and will). I hope he connects on homer # 50 of his career. Also tomorrow, alot of booing will be going towards Barry"Juice " Bonds. So if anyone needs any video footage of the fans going crazy at bonds in person, just email me. Also as the Wrightoholics fan club keeps growing post by post. Email me at Perrotta553@aol.com or email Desiree who is in charge of the newsletter at thewrightfans@yahoo.com. She is very knowledgeable about the game and very knowledgeable about David Wright, so with any questions about the mets, email her and shell be happy to talk baseball.
Until next time, Possibly tomorrow night if im not too tired from going to both games. I will hopefully post about the abuse Barry took all day and night (i doubt **** play 2) long. I will be home late so dont expect any post’s in the afternoon. Now onto the david watch.

Career vs Cain- 0-3.
Visit WWW.DAVIDWRIGHTFOUNDATION.COM FOR MORE DONATION INFORMATION.
Mets Vs Giants on Wayne Cherbet day!!
The mets will look to extend their one game winning streak by dismantiling Barry Bonds and his band of steroid-less mates as they battle the giants in the first of a 3 game series. Matt Cain starts for the giants, Who handled the mets easily his last start in SF. Tommy( My era is less than your’s) Glavine tolls the hill for the Mets as he will look to be the first 9 game winner in baseball. David Wright will look to show Barry how to do it without all of the juice injected into his head. I really hope no one cheer’s Barry tonight as he runied the game and should be punished for it and i believe a appropriate booing will be a good punishment for him tonight. As for the mets. They come in riding high after that awesome 13 inning victory against the Dbacks. Endy Chavez might get the start in right tonight if Beltran cannot go, and Milledge will possibly be inserted into Center field. I hope i get to see Milledge’s First Homer soon because i would like to hold on to the ticket. If anyone wants video footage of his first At bat with the mets , Just email me and ill be happy to email you it. Now for tonight’s game, I really think the mets will win this game, although Cain can be a good pitcher. He is like a tuesday /Friday pitcher, On tuesday **** pitch a complete game, And Friday **** give up 9 runs in 3 innings. Hopefully the mets will come out swining tonight and give Tommy some lee way to win his 9th game of the season and inch closer to possibly starting the Nl All star game with his batter mate Paul Lo Duca behind him and also inching closer to the ever close 300th victory which is still in reach this year but highly unlikely for him to win every start left lol.
Glavine has undergone a rebirth even with questec behidn the plate and some of the umpires squeezing him. He has learned to mix his pitches well and locate the ball properly. The giants have a relatively weak lineup going into the game with Barry (My head is almost as big as Mr Mets from juice) Bonds patrolling Left field( Which will be an abuse spot all night hopefully) And he will go down in history as a sham. But for the rest of the lineup, Winn is a descent hitter along with vizquel who is ageless. Then the rest of the lineup plain stinks.
The mets will hopefully start Beltran, but Mr potato head doesnt shake injuries well. I will call him Mr Potato head as do you remember when you were young and you played with Mr Potato Head and his hands would fall off and not even stay on for a certain period of time, Ya thats beltran, the guy doesnt shake injuries well and i hope he plays soon because he hurts the team and my fantasy team with him being injuried. He is a good player and can do everything well, but with him injuried i dont feel to confident with Milledge playing center and possibly taking away from Beltran’s power as i believe Milledge would have the power in a few years but right now batting 8th, he wont see any pitches and that means no results.
As Barry Bonds rolls in to Left, i will get pictures of all the fans waving steroid sticks at him and i hope someone dresses up as a syringe and i will get a cool picture and throw him on the blog tomorrow morning or afternoon. I hope the mets slap around the giants tonight as i can not handle another loss against a bad team. I want a sweep!!. I never get sweeps when they are home unless you play a team like the pirates who are riding a monster winning streak for them.
As for looking at the NL all star voting, if they are in a rain delay tonight, i will fill out 25 all star ballots with David being voted in on all of them. I encourage everyone to vote for David as it will be good to see him manning 3rd base this season for the nl all star team.
The Wrightoholics weekly newsletter is about to go out thanks to my editor in chief, Desiree you can reach her at allthewrightfans@yahoo.com and she will e happy to add you to the ever growing popularity of the group known as the wrightoholics, remember everyone to be on you must email her or even email me, dont leave comments on how to join, i will delete them but email me. As for the group, they will continue to expand and be more and more in touch with David and the mets organization by helping out charity in any way we can and hopefulyl setting up a meet and greet with David through hisorganizaion. WWW.DAVIDWRIGHTFOUNDATION.COM.
As for right now, i lost my wallet and was very upset the past few days. I called up every company and got all replacement cards in the mail and thats why i havent posted the past few days. As for yesterday night’s baseball games, i noticed a few things. A- The yankees are hurting, even with a good record. B- The yankees are hurting even with a good record. The yankees will not be ina good position with all of the injuries and if they start dropping even more then they will fall behind the blue jays. I hope the Yankees fall flat on their faces as i ran into a bunch of my yankee fan friends last week and they were telling me that even with all of the injuries and you guys playing the best baseball of your lives, we still have almost the same record. Hang on let me respond to that. The mets arent playing great baseball, they just find ways to win like any other championship team. They have two players batting over 300 (Wright,Loduca), And many players struggling. So i dont want to hear were playing the best they can. The mets will be there in October i can guareentee you that because theyres a difference between the mets and yankees of this year. We win games in style, you guys are the most boring team i can ever watch on television. I really cannot sit down and watch a yankees game, they are the most boring team in baseball, let me explain a excerpt of the yankee game. Up now Jason (Steroid Giambi), Next up Gary (Steroid Sheffield). Now on the other thing, they will most likely be there in october as well and i pray for another subway series so we can hopefully get some revenge on the Yankees for that debacle in 2000.
Everyone Vote For David. And go Mets. Now onto the David Watch.

Career vs Cain- 0-3.
Tonight- 2/5 with hopefully his 50th career homer.
Mets Loss Tonight…But Milledge Sort Of Saves the night.
Going into tonight’s game Vs the Dbacks, i decided to go there early and try to get some baseball’s from the batting practice regeime. I was angry to find that it was very early and had a ton of time to kill so i yelled at jose Valentin and threw me a baseball. Then me and my Friend walked around to the loge where i sit and got a ball thrown by Jorge Julio, i told him i missed him and he smiled. Too bad he knew i hated him deep down inside and didnt care less about him. I decided to spend a ton of time at my Favirote clubhouse shop and bought my father a Paul Loduca tshirt, its his favirote player since Piazza, And i headed down to the main concourse and purchased…1- Hot dog, 2- Sausage, 3- 2 Soda’s, 4- Carvel ice cream. Bascially being 5 foot 8 and 155 pounds, igained about 4 pounds tonight and lost 4 pounds in my bank account after it felt like i got hit with a hammer in between my legs as i kept reaching and reaching for 20 after 20 including 13 dollars for parking per day, Man i got to get pre paid parking passes every day.
But as i went to the game tonight, i was very excited to find out about Uber-Prospect Lastings Milledge. He is supposed to be one of the best prospects to come out of the mets minor league system since Scott….I wont say his name because evey time i say it, i go into a rage and start throwing my dog around. But judging by the crowd’s reaction of Milledge tonight, they are clearly sending signals not to trade this cant-miss prospect who every team inquires about at the deadline. It seems as if the mets will keep him around to play LF next year after Floyd’s contact expires. Speaking of Floyd, He is really hitting the ball well as of late, I predict by the end of the year he will bat 275 and hit 25 homers and drive in 85-90 rbi;s. He will probably sign with the Yankees to DH if the Yanks dont sign Barry Bonds to Dh and then i will hate Cliff Floyd for going to the enemy.
Onto my Favirote player David Wright, He struggled tonight at the plate but of course no one’s perfect unless your name is David Wright and you play against the marlins and go 4 for 4 with a walk on May 27,2006. His average dipped to a robust 325,But i am starting to get worried as Miguel Cabrera despite the low fan attendence is still having a monster year and i hope all of the Wrightoholics and Mets fan will get to the booths and Vote Wright to the Nl All star team. I took a few pictures and i have this awesome picture of a blurry David Wright rounding first base after his game winning hit yesterday. I photo shopped the backround and i hope everyone likes it.
Also for the Wrightoholics Fan club, my good friend and Avid Wright fan Desiree (thewrightfans@yahoo.com) will be in charge of wrighting the weekly newsletter and if anyone would like to be added to the wrightoholics newsletter in which we will try to set up dates at shea over the summer and pack out the front row of the loge and all be wearing our Wrightoholics t shirts and will get a shout out from David. Also i will try to donate enough money from all of us to try and possibly get a meet and greet with David before a game. If we raise enough money, i will send the check to my friend Erica Barrone and see if she can possibly set a little something up. So email me or Desiree at TheWrightFans@yahoo.com and also give her a little props as she is doing alot for the Wrightoholics and we all appreciate her work with the newsletter.
But Tonight’s game was very discouraging, Alay Soler struggled mightily and Willie left him a little bit too long and it bothered me and the other fans who stayed the whole game. A funny thing i would like to point out was that theyre was two diamondback fans down near my seats and i yelled ill throw you and your daughter over the railing and they stopped yelling for the dbacks, Jeez who lives in Arizona anyways, go raise some cactus and stay out of NY.
Listen this is a alert to everyone, look at this article i pulled off Mets.com.Lo Duca is the only Met leading his category, but is one of five Mets players in the top five at their position. Carlos Beltran (OF), David Wright (3B), and Carlos Delgado (1B) are second while Jose Reyes (SS) is third. Delgado ranks behind Albert Pujols of the Cardinals, who leads the National League with 726,854 votes. Beltran has 334,027 votes compared to Andruw Jones (Braves) who has 420,462 and Wright trails Scott Rolen (Cardinals) with 292,335 votes to Rolen’s 340,733. lISTEN EVERYONE, VOTE FOR WRIGHT. Rolen is decent now and Wright is the new best 3b in The Nl, just look at the numbers. Its getting to be based on what the players have done in their history compared to what they are doing now.

Also if anyone wants video footage from my seats of his first hit, just email me and ill be happy to send you that or David;s entrance song with him coming out to bat with the crowd behind him.
Now onto to the David watch, And remember Vote Wright to the Nl ALL STAR TEAM AND ALSO WRIGHT FOR PRESIDENT!!

Career numbers vs Webb.
3-5, 600 Ba.
Tonight 0-4. Tomorrow 2-4 with 1 rbi, hopefully his 50th career homer.
David Wright= 1 homer shy of 50 for his career. And Mets Vs Dbacks talk!
The mets open memorial day or as i should say night for a 3 game series against the Dbacks. The mets will look to add to their 3 and half game lead over the Bravos. Man those braves do not go away, they were 9 games out at one point and now the lead is cut to 3 and a half, Dont worry mets fans give the braves a few weeks and theyll turn back to being 8 games out of first. The pitching matchup for tonight’s game is Steve Trachsel Vs Claudio Vargas. Vargas is pitchign well of late and took a no hitter into the 6th inning his last start but tonight i am looking towards a mets victory but the key is going to be how Steve Trachsel perfoms. He has been getting blasted his last few starts and need’s to step up the tempo and fight off the boo-birds at Shea. As for being at the game tonight, i am thinking about leaving my house at 3 and tailgating but the traffic is going to be insane and hopefully i really dont sit in too much of it as it sickens me driving to Shea.
As it was brought up to my attention on Mets.Com, David Wright is 1 homer shy of 50 for his career. Hmm…Only 705 left to go to catch Hammering Hank. I dont think David is going to contend with the Home Run record but i think he will go for the record for third basemen. I believe he will catch that record before he is done and also win a ton of Mvp’s and notch a ton of all star game apperances (Cmon Marlins trade cabrera to the al and leave no doubt in my mind this year). David Just have pure skill at third base, something not taught to you growing up. He knows how to play the game right and with all of this steroid talk everyone should talk to their kids and point out a real role model and that is David Wright and how he affects the game and helps out in many ways signing autographs and staying out to talk to fans. Its a shame how every 10 seconds on sportscenter i must see Barry Bonds talk about his home runs but will not answer any questions about his rampant steroid use and all of that good stuff. I feel as Barry cheated and so do a ton of other fans except for those fans in SF and the Bay area. As for Barry breaking Aarons record, he will do it eventually as he is not going to retire until he does because he is that selfish(and im watching espnews now and its the first highlight on the show), Ya know if i would have caught the ball, i would have thrown it back.! No im kidding, i would have sold each piece of it and donated half the money to Davids Organization and kept the other half and bought a Hummer, Man it must stink for the guy in the bleachers who missed catching the ball and how awesome is it for the guy who was waiting on line to buy a bbq sandwich gets it LOL. Man sweet investment, just think the bbq sandwiches are 19 dollars at shea so you figure its a good trade off if i would have caught it. Speaking of sandwiches, im trying to decide what sandwich i should bring tonight. Maybe ill buy 7 itlian sausages at the game and spend 200 dollars god theyre so good some nights.
But Onto the better stuff of baseball and that is the first place NY Mets, No its not a typo not the NY Yankees but the Ny Mets, New York’s other baseball team. Yes i understand the way the mets fan’s react to being implanted into first place since game 3 of the season, who knows maybe well never leave first place and hopefully with some love from the al, maybe the Yanks wont even make the playoffs and the mets go on to win the championship. If that happened, steinbrenner would call the suicide hotline or demand a trade for Babe Ruth, because that mess in Yankee-land will soon get out of control. (Im not talking about on the field team, but all of the money they spent on **** free agents, i can name them but my gigo-byte space for this post wont allow me to name them all). It does feel good to be in first, its a different atmosphere in Shea and its unanomously different than the atmosphere last year at Shea. Last year, the team was no where and started to come back and then died down again, although the mets finished with a winning record they were so close to the phils and that elusive wild card but Pedro blew it and the mets took a nose dive. Hopefully this year with this pleasent mix of veterans and newly aqquainted major leaguers, we will go further this year and beyond as i am looking forward to some playoff baseball on the other side of NY this year.
As im staring at my Pedro Bobblehead right now, he is nodding yes to everything i have been asking him. Playoffs, Check. Mvp For David Wright? Check. All star Apperence for David? Check. Last place finish for the Yankees? Check! Ah that last one was a joke but hopefully one year that can come true. Now everyone dont think im coo coo for talking to Pedro in the bobblehead version, he is like an 8 ball but he doesnt answer with Maybe or Possibly. He just answers Yes! LOL. Kind of like a girlfriend i would love to have. Can you buy me that Mercedes? Yes! Wow what a life that would be. Speaking of girlfriends, she just picked me up a Another Authentic David Wright jersey. That completes my collection of his Jerseys, Sort of like one per game, although i like to throw it back a bit to the good ole days (My fav jersey of all time is my 94 Todd Hundley authentic jersey). Ah what i would give to see Todd Hundley break the hr for catcher’s again.

And as always, Vote WRIGHT FOR PRESIDENT AND VOTE DAVID TO THE NL ALL STAR TEAM!!
Series Win, But loss vs Phils.
As i was sitting in the parking lot around 12 pm today, an hour before game time. It got me wondering, what are the chances of beating the Phils and their ace pitcher Brett Myers today? I looked at my two brothers and they laughed,as they have Myers on their staff for the fantasy team’s and said the mets have no shot today. But when we were walking in, i had my Wrightoholics Tshirt on and some fans asked what it was for and i told them to read my blog and theyll understand more about it. I sat down after my long BBQ in the parking lot, and still managed to pay 4.50 for a pretzel and bought a sausage later on in the game. Now onto the game.
The game started off right where Gonzalez left off against the Yankees and basically knew this was his last start and he wanted to make an impression. Starting off, Abreu crushed a 2 run bomb to right field, and then Howard crushed a homer to right center. Every pitch in the inning felt like they were going out as gonzalez topped out at 89 mph for his fastball in the 1st. The bottom of the first came and the mets went down quietly. Reyes then came up with two men on and hit a 3 run shot to tie the game, very auxilerating inthe stands as many of fans were mets fans, actually theyre was some Phils fans there, But Hopefully reyes doesnt try to crush every ball like hes been doing lately. 3-3 Game until the 7th inning when Utley got his 4th hit a double down the line and at the end of the inning the score was 5-3. Mets went to their last out with 1 on and Mr i make 17 mill a year and bat 265 struck out and made all the fans run for the exits and look for their cars in the lot.
A few things i noticed about the game today, Mike and the Mad dog were introduced to a rousing audience of Boo’s as they are pro yankee, and anti-mets. Also the shirt launch some guy fell down trying to grab a shirt and almost fell down about a row of seats (good stuff). Also the guess the attendence game in shea as always is rigged as they go by paid attendence not fans in the seats, as they announced a crowd of 51,003 on hand. It was funny because even during the game theyre was a ton of empty seats down the lines, althought some of the upper was filled with camps and local schools. Traffic on the way home was a disaster as knew it was going to be and i cannot wait until tuesday when the mets battle the dbacks and hopefully el duque pitches to see what he has in person.
David had a tough game today, David ortiz like( Yesterday 0-5, 4k’s), David struck out 3 times and Myers has him looking foolish on 2 ab’s. But as i noted, it was going to be tough against Myers as he is a very good pitcher and Wright still has had a amazign last bunch of games and will look to continue it tomorrow against the Fish. The fish look like a AAA team and i guareentee that tomorrow Pedro will make them look like a bunch of little girls in dresses. I will not be around posting tomorrow night as i will be away from Friday morning (early 7 am) until Saturday afternoon, so i will blog when i return about Friday’s game and possibly Saturdays matchup as well. Also it stinks being up in Pa without any mets games, as i have to listen to it on the radio and its very staticky. As we all turn to the next series, we must know that the mets are still up 4 games and will look to widen that lead with 3 against the fish,3 against the dbacks, 3 against the juicehead barry bonds. Speaking of Barry, i cant wait until he comes to Shea on Friday night, i will be in my usual seats and hopefully i will buy a big blowup syringe to hold towards him as hes a cheater. I dont want to get into me disliking him, but all mets fans do and will for a while except MC HAMMER whos blog is ridiculous cheering for a cheater through this time trying to demoslish the records in which are tainted now.
But as we move on to another series, i will to as today’s loss was a little upsetting especially after i had my broom intact in the stands and i preceded to put the broom in mypocket and walk away LOL. Hopefully that broom will come in handy against a few of the teams in the upcoming weeks. I think that brings my record to 0-28 all time when bringing a broom to a possible sweep game, maybe i should stop bringing it. As David stuggled, im pretty sure **** pick it up tomorrow night and wright now my predictions are 2/5 with 2 rbi’s. Mets win 8-2. sounds good to me. Once again if anyone wants to join the Wrightoholics fan club, just email me and ill be happy to let you know what its about. I am very happy i have been recieving a bunch of emails wanting to be a Wrightoholic. Ya know what ill just let everyone know what the Wrightoholics club consists of, it is securely of David’s fans and will possibly include games in which i will get more seats to my season seats (by contacting my ticket agent) and having weekly or monthly Wrightoholic games in which we will have the first row in the loge and hang our banner over the railing and get a shout out from david. Also, as the group builds, i will send emails out to the group and other stuff as well. so just email me for anything else as well.
Also the David Watch is back and as always, WRIGHT FOR PRESIDENT!!
